Hainan Surfing
Surfing is a great sport full of challenge which requires a high level of skill. Surfing different waves in different locations is all part of the fun. The unpredictable nature of the surf adds to the appeal of surfing.
Do’s
1.Surfing is all about having fun, keep it in mind when you are out in the waves.
2. Do some regular exercise get yourself in shape in order to build power and endurance before you go surfing.
3. If you are surfing on a patrolled beach make sure that you keep within the designated surfing are. Pay more attention to where you should be surfing before you go out, and make sure you stick to it when you are out.
4. Make sure that the surf is safe before you go in. If you are going surfing at a spot you are unfamiliar with it is a good idea to get some advice from a local. Check out the surf spot while warming up.
5. Always wear a good waterproof sun block. You'll know about it if you have been out for a few hours surfing in the sun without it. Also if you are not wearing a Wetsuit it is a good idea to wear a UV proof rash vest for body protection.
Dont’s
1. Don't surf alone.
2. Don't surf immediately after eating or drinking alcohol.
3. Don't throw your board away when paddling through waves, there may be somebody behind you.
4. Don't try to catch the same wave while somebody else is paddling or riding nearer to the breaking part of the wave (the peak or the curl).
5. Don't surf near or in front of rocks.
6. Don't surf near sewerage outfalls or where the water is very polluted.
7. Don’t leave your board and don’t paddle against the current. If you get caught in a strong rip current while surfing paddle across the current towards where the waves are breaking.
