Phoenix Island is located in Sanya River estuary north of Sanya Bay with total area of 547.6 acres, is surrounded by the sea and Luhuitou, on the east side is Sanya Bay, The 390-meter-long bridge connects Phoenix Island with Sanya downtown.
The seventh star hotel will be built on the Island, which would be the highest-rate hotel in Hainan comparing with the most famous Caravelle Hotel Dubai.

PhoenixIsland is the starting point of the China homestretch of the 2008 Olympic Games Torch Running. The Island also are domestic and international ferry terminals.
